平井武士が明日10月8日にアルバム「Rays of the jet」をリリースする。
平井はさまざまなアーティストのレコーディングやライブで活躍するギタリスト。「Rays of the jet」は前作「jetism」から3年11カ月ぶりに発表する2枚目のソロアルバムで、オリジナルのインストナンバーや、沢田研二「勝手にしやがれ」などカバー曲も収録されている。なお平井は現在スフィアのバックバンドでリーダーを務めており、本作ではスフィアのメンバーが西城秀樹「YOUNG MAN（Y.M.C.A.）」のカバー曲で“かけ声”として参加している。
